I know it's not the time for Creative of the week. But when I came across this ad I decided it's simply too good to be ignored or even wait...

It's coming...
The Super Bowl is coming and it's closer than ever. In a week we are going to be able to enjoy the best the world of advertising has to offer. At least no one will say it's not the best after spending $3.5 million on a 30 Sec break. But still we do get a great verity of funny and smart commercials that we usually don't get anywhere else. So, to pump you up a bit, here is an ad which is going to be on this Super Bowl. I chose this one just because I like it, I hope you do too.

I'll be back. Actually sooner than you think
Yes the time as come for this blogger to move on. No, I am not leaving you or this blog but I am moving back to my roots, advertising. After dabbling in Internet for a year or so, I find myself in need for the "real" thing. I know advertising for most of you is not the real thing or even real at all, it'a an illusion, a promise for something usually fake, but for me a world without advertising is a world, well... not worth even a slogan.
So very soon I will be doing what I love again and hopefully some of you will be able to enjoy it.
So in the words of the Godfather:
"Every time I think I'm out, they pull me back in"

The missing Like
What triggered this post were two things actually. The first is our "Like" based life and the other was an episode of the wonderful cartoon "The penguins of Madagascar". The two don't really relate I know, but both showed me the "Importance" of fingers and thumbs. It appears that the way us human measure other specious intelligence, mostly requires thumbs.
I know your going to say what about dolphins. So, true there are exceptions (although they two are asked to preform "human" tasks) but usually when we test an animal, we give it tests we can solve, that way we are able to compare. But what does it really mean? That this animal is the second smartest, or the third after us of course. If a bird can't add up 2+2 is it necessarily stupid, or the fact that a fish can't press "Like" with his fin, does that makes it less intelligent.
I believe that we should at least try and "think out side the box", if we are as intelligent as we think we are, and not just press "Like" whenever we see a cute animal on Facebook. Because maybe just maybe, it will find it offensive next time it browses through Facebook.

The end is near...
Axe, always proud themselves in being creative & innovative. This time there was no difference. Axe wanted to promote two new revolutionary fragrances, so they came up with an online comic book called "Anarchy". This comic book allowed it's readers for the first time ever to not only decide the ending but to do so live and on the go.
So the end is up to us...

Happy new year
A new year brings with it new promises. Like in the Olympics, every 4 years we see new records being broken even though we thought they will last forever. So it is normal to expect the creative boundaries to be challenged or even broken. I for one am expecting great things and hope not to be disappointed.
I think 2011 was a good year and a creative one (but not excellent) and I hope 2012 will be better. The audience today is intelligent and with a very short attention span. That is why they "demand" better creative (if we still what to convince them of anything that is), smarter medias and better ideas.
So to all you creative thinkers out there, I hope you'll have a great creative year.
I know I will.
